I devote most of my practice to estate planning, probate and trust administration and litigation. I strive to listen to my clients’ needs and assist them in developing an estate plan that meets their needs. When working on probate and trust litigation and administration, it is my goal to ensure my clients have a full understanding of the process, what their options are, and what the best strategy is for a particular situation. I strive to put my clients at ease during what is often an incredibly stressful time in their lives. I also serve business clients in various capacities. I was selected by Best Lawyers as One to Watch for 2026 in the areas of Trusts and Estates and Trusts and Estates – Litigation. I hold a Certificate in Probate and Estate Planning, which was issued by the Michigan Institute of Continuing Legal Education.

Before coming to LightStone Law, I was a partner in a small law firm in my hometown of Hastings and then later worked for a respected law firm in Grand Rapids.

I live in Belmont, and in my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, daughter, son, and our two dogs. I am an avid sports fan and enjoy following U of M and Detroit sports and the Grand Rapids Griffins. I enjoy listening to music and love to play my drums when I have the time.
